Tribal School Medical Treatment

Anjana Ghosh Memorial Social Welfare Trust (AGMSWT) has launched a dedicated Medical Treatment Facility to address the health needs of school-going children and adolescents aged 6-18 years in tribal schools. This initiative aims to ensure the holistic well-being of students by providing comprehensive healthcare services and promoting healthy practices.

The programme focuses on:

  • Health Screening - Early detection and management of diseases, disabilities, and common deficiencies.
  • Referral Services - Linking students with secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities when specialized care is required.
  • Regular Health Check-ups - Providing prescribed medicines free of cost to ensure timely treatment.
  • Health & Hygiene Sensitization - Educating students on basic health and hygiene practices to foster a culture of wellness.

Key Achievements

With the support of the Backward Class Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal, AGMSWT has successfully implemented this programme in the following schools:

  • Hirabandh High School – Hirabandh Block, Bankura District.
  • Basudebpur Ashram School – Hirabandh Block, Bankura District.
